Nick and Vanessa Lachey have listed their Tarzana estate for $8.195 million, bringing one of the San Fernando Valley’s more unusual celebrity-property stories back to the market.
The couple bought the home from former NFL receiver Randall Cobb, sold it to tennis star Naomi Osaka when work took their family to Hawaii, and then purchased it from Osaka three years later. Now they are offering it for sale once more.
The gated property occupies approximately 0.68 acres and includes a 6,855-square-foot main residence, broad Valley views and a separate guest house and gym added during Osaka’s ownership. Craig Knizek and Mauricio Umansky of The Agency represent the listing.

The House the Lacheys Bought Twice
Nick and Vanessa purchased the property from Cobb for $5.05 million in December 2020. They sold it to Osaka in February 2022 for $6.266 million after Vanessa accepted an acting role filmed in Hawaii.
When Osaka decided to move, she offered the property back to the Lacheys. They repurchased it in August 2025 for $7.95 million, according to Redfin’s transaction history and The Agency’s account.
The current $8.195 million asking price is $245,000 above their 2025 purchase price. That difference does not account for commissions, carrying expenses or any work completed since the sale.
Vanessa said the home gave the family many good memories and expressed hope that its next owners will enjoy it as much as they did.
Traditional Architecture Arranged for California Living
The white, East Coast-inspired exterior opens to a floor plan built around the backyard and distant hills. Large openings connect the living areas to the grounds, while the entry offers a direct view through the house toward the San Fernando Valley.
Inside, the kitchen has two islands and a separate breakfast nook. An entertaining bar connects to a dedicated wine room, and a private movie theater adds another gathering space.
The level backyard distinguishes the property from many view homes in the Valley hills. A pool and spa sit beside lawn and patio areas, while a lighted full-length court can accommodate basketball and pickleball. The Agency also markets the court for tennis.
Naomi Osaka Added Privacy, a Guest House and Gym
Osaka made several substantial changes during her ownership. According to The Agency and Mansion Global , she added gates, hedging, security equipment and an approximately 800-square-foot guest house and gym.
The new building includes a kitchenette and a spa-style bathroom designed for recovery after workouts. It gives the property a more flexible second structure than the one the Lacheys originally purchased in 2020.
A Move Out of California
The Lacheys intend to leave California, with The Agency describing their next move as out of state and to the east. Their decision to sell the Tarzana home marks the start of that next chapter. Information supplied to SFV Blog links the trust that purchased the Tarzana home to the trust that purchased the Tennessee home pictured below in August 2026 for $7,995,000. That reported trust connection suggests the Tennessee property may be the Lacheys’ next home, but their ownership has not been independently confirmed.
The Tarzana listing continues that long-running local story. Its celebrity ownership creates the headline, but the property’s combination of privacy, a large level yard, recreation space and a separate guest building supplies the more durable appeal.
