TMZ first broke the news on November 13, 2015, that former Disney Star and singer, Selena Gomez, is selling her Calabasas mansion for $4,495,000 which was also listed on Nov 13. The property measures 6 Beds/7 Baths on 7,786 sqft on a total lot size of 3.15 acres built in 2004. Gomez barely purchased the property on March 21, 2014 for $3,690,000 which at today's asking price would represent a hefty $805K gain. The listing description states:

Extremely rare & private compound in the illustrious Mureau Estates gated community of Calabasas. Sprawling over 3 acres, this exceptional custom home provides every amenity expected of a luxury estate. Main house has 5 bedrooms, 6 baths, 5 fireplaces, stone tile floors, kitchen w/ Sub Zero fridge/freezer, Wolf Range/Oven, dual dishwashers, chef's island, breakfast nook area, full bar, & large pantry. Master retreat w/ sitting area, spa like bath, steam shower, & enormous closet. Property features a magnificent back yard w/ pool/spa, cabana, Viking outdoor kitchen, & brick pizza oven. Other entertaining areas include a formal dining room w/ floor to ceiling windows, & a beautiful outdoor courtyard. According to TMZ, the reason for the move is due to numerous stalkers and 911 calls despite the fact that the home is in a gated community and a short hop over the fence to Hidden Hills. Gomez has been widely discussed on this blog as we first talked about her in the past listed below: 

1. Encino rental that was sold in 2012, 
2. A Tarzana ranch home that was sold in 2014 to Nick Young, and Iggy Azalea 
3. For a brief period, there was even a rumor that Jonah Hill purchased the Tarzana home and sold it to Gomez but that was later corrected. 
4. And the purchase of the Calabasas home back in 2014. 

Its not known where Gomez is heading to next but she will be on tour for most of 2016 and just revealed that she is battling Lupus undergoing chemotherapy treatment. Gomez seems to have a place in heart for the SFV so hopefully she still calls it home but obviously needs to live in a gated community like Hidden Hills or other secure locations.

The always hilarious Your Mama at the Realestalker Variety revealed that the buyer of Selena Gomez's Tarzana home is today's hottest couple, Nick Young and Iggy Azalea (you can view more details about the posting here). I am not sure how the Realestalker got this info as it was not easy to find which was shielded behind a trust with Young's mother listed as the trustee and the trust named after a reference to MC Hammer. 

Young is a Los Angeles Laker who played high school ball at Reseda's Cleveland high school so this purchase is sort of like a homecoming. Azalea is an up and coming Australian rapper who has spent very little time in the SFV so she will need to adapt to the culture. 

Young and Azalea are constantly on the run between basketball games and touring so there might be small glimpses of the two hanging out at the local Cupids Hot Dogs, Chuck E Cheese, or IHOP during the off-seasons. In the meantime, you can catch some racy pics of the couple in a March 2014 GQ article. 

The couple, although not married, paid asking price of $3,450,000 on September 30, 2014 leaving Gomez with a $1,275,000 profit not factoring in commissions, taxes, and renovation expenses. Regardless of the expenses, that is one heck of a profit in roughly 3 years! Prior to the Tarzana home, Gomez was living in an Encino rental. After the Tarzana home, she purchased a Calabasas gated mansion. 

Prior to the Tarzana home, Nick Young was renting a Sherman Oaks home that made national headlines after he was robbed of $100K in jewelry, clothing, electronics, and special shoes in March 2014. I wasnt able to find the Sherman Oaks rental but I did find a Northridge/Porter Ranch home linked to Nick Young that was purchased on October 19, 2007 for $799K but I cannot confirm. 

On a side note, this home is directly across the street from the Dr. A.E. Abdun-Nur Residence designed by Paul Williams. Williams is an African-American architect best known for designing the LAX Airport Theme building.

Former Disney star, Selena Gomez, has just listed her Tarzana home on May 1, 2014 for $3,495,000 which is not much of a surprise considering she just acquired a Calabasas home in late March for approximately $3 million which was discussed on this blog. 

The Tarzana home has been discussed on this blog on more than one occassion in the past where the rumor mill revealed that Jonah Hill purchased it and later flipped to Selena Gomez. Well the truth was that Gomez's parents purchased the home under a trust that was linked to Jonah Hill's father who also happens to be an agent for many Hollywood stars including Gomez. Thanks to Zillow for clarifying. 

And since we are talking about Gomez, she previously lived in an Encino ranch home before moving into the Tarzana home also discussed on this blog. 

The Tarzana home measures 6 Beds/7.75 Baths on 6,630 sqft on a total lot size of 0.83 acres built in 1956. The listing description states:

According to gossip juggernaut, TMZ, Selena Gomez of Disney's Wizards of Waverly Place fame and also being the boyfriend of Justin Bieber for a short period of time has just purchased a Calabasas mansion which was first reported on March 29, 2014. 

Based on the picture revealed at TMZ, the home measures 5 Beds/6 Baths on 7,229 sqft on a total lot size of 3.15 acres built in 2004. The home is in a gated community literally next door to Hidden Hills. The shape of the lot is rather unique which looks like a long inverted boot that stretches from the Hidden Hills fences to to the entrance of the gated community. Another interesting feature of the lot is the open land next door with a driveway leading to nothing that looks like it was once being prepped for development so maybe there is future development potential for Gomez. 

This home was last purchased on August 16, 2004 as a new home for $2,920,000 and according to TMZ was sold to Selena Gomez for $3 million even though the property records do not reflect any transaction at the time of writing this blog so we will keep a look out to confirm TMZ's story who are typically accurate in their reporting. The home was previously owned by a financial type who goes by the name of Scott Kotick who was one of the founders of The Alliant Company. 

Shortly after TMZ published their story, a Gomez stalker wasted no time visiting Gomez's new home and knocked on the front door attempting to see Gomez which didnt work out. So the stalker broke into the guest home until he was caught by the sheriff's deputies. So that must be a record for celebrity trespassing and I guess it doesnt matter if you live in a gated community.

Prior to the newly acquired Calabasas home, Gomez was living in a Tarzana ranch home measuring 5 Beds/5 Baths on 4,650 sqft on a total lot size of close to 1 acre built in 1956. Gomez purchased this home for $2.9 million on August 2012 supposedly from Jonah Hill who flipped the home after acquiring it on July 14, 2011 for $2,175,000. However, a quick review of the property records does not show any transactions taking place after 2011 so its possible that Jonah Hill never owned this home and it was originally purchased by Gomez. Something tells me this home will be popping up on the market in the near future. On a side note for architectural buffs, this home is located across from the Dr. A.E. It appears that the rumors about Disney star Selena Gomez purchasing the former Jonah Hill home in Tarzana and/or even purchasing land with Justin Bieber in Tarzana might be true as her former home in Encino just hit the market for the marketable friendly asking price of $3,699,000. Additionally, a moving truck was spotted at the Encino home sometime in the beginning of August possibly moving her belongings to the new home. 

According to the listing, the 5 Bed/6.25 Bath on 5,291 sqft on a total lot size of 1.64 acres built in 1947 states:

First time on the market for sale in 19 years. This Connecticut Style gated compound will take your breath away. Situated on 1. 69 acres of enchanting grounds there are 3 separate structures, tennis court, pool, numerous gardens, grassy play areas all amidst magnificent mature Oak Trees. I dont believe this home was ever purchased by Selena Gomez or her family as the property records dont reveal any connection to Selena Gomez unless I am mistaken. Additionally, this home was last purchased 19 years ago for $1,650,000 on March 31, 1993 which was about one year after Selena was born on July 22, 1992 in Grand Prairie, Texas. So it appears that she was most likely renting this whole time which I am not sure when the started either and for how much. Its been rumored that Selena lived in the guest home on this property but I cannot confirm. 

This listing also mentions that this home is part of the Lazy Creek Ranch which I have no idea of the historical significance but I am guessing was part of a much larger ranch that started sometime in the late 40's when land was widely available and used for agricultural purposes but was eventually subdivided to what remains today.

The rumor mill was filled with reports yesterday that actor Jonah Hill flipped his Tarzana home to Selena Gomez. This information was revealed by the always hilarious Your Mama at the Realestalker via the Zillow Blog, X17online, and Entertainmentwise.com. While this is just rumor as the property records do not reflect any such transaction occurring, we will update you when the opportunity arises. 

According to the sources above, Gomez purchased the home for $2.9 million. Jonah Hill purchased this home for $2.175 million on July 14, 2011 which was discussed on this blog (which has more details on the property) giving Mr. Hill a cool profit of $725,000 which is quite amazing given that Mr. Hill has only had the home for barely one year. Maybe the real estate zany days are back. Its possible that Mr. Hill also made significant improvements to the home justifying the higher price but the only available online listing photos are from when Mr. Hill purchased the property back in July 2011 so there is no evidence if the home has indeed been upgraded. 

Ms. Gomez was previously living in her parent's home in Encino in a separate condo on the property (see image below). She has been spotted in and out of Encino with her boyfriend Justin Bieber who also just purchased a property in Calabasas (which was the former home of Nicole Murphy discussed on this blog).
