Hitting the MLS for $4,995,000 on May 11, 2015 is the Milton Goldman Residence designed by famed architect, Richard Neutra, which was later updated in 2001 by architect Roberta Weiser. Neutra is considered to be one of the most important modernist architects with a majority of his work completed in Southern California and still standing today. He has completed over 20 properties in the SFV alone which can be viewed here and the complete list of works completed here

The property was last purchased on July 21, 2006 for $2,850,000 near the peak of the last housing bubble by TV show producer/creator, Steven Bochco, who is best known for hit TV shows like Hill Street Blues, L.A. Law, Doogie Howser, M.D., and NYPD Blue. The listing description states that the house has been "painstakingly restored using the finest materials while keeping Neutra's original vision." But when comparing to the original pics from when Bochco purchased, I dont see much of a difference aside from the flooring but maybe I am missing something because the previous listing pics are limited. You can be the judge viewing the old vs. new pics below.

One other related note, this home has appeared in several films including Superman 4.

The home measures 5 Beds/5 Baths on 4,234 sqft on a total lot size of 0.77 acres built in 1951. The listing description states:
As one the most recognized Architects of the modern era, Richard Neutra was the master at "placing man in relationship to nature". The Goldman Residence has painstakingly been restored using the finest materials while keeping Neutra's original vision. Great entertainers plan with formal living, dining, gourmet chef's kitchen and luxe master suite. The walls of glass feature the perfect backdrop to enjoy the private and park like grounds with grassy yard, sunny swimmers pool, and dining terraces. This is opportunity to own a trophy architectural in the coveted Royal Oaks and enjoy the best of the Southern California lifestyle.
Based on the current asking price, Bochco stands to gain $2,145,000 before expenses which is a damn good return considering the time of purchase. Not sure where Bochco is heading to next as he previously lived in Pacific Palisades but hopefully he remains in the SFV to continue in his legendary TV creating ways.
