A Woodland Hills house marketed as a restoration project last year has returned with a completed makeover and a $2,195,000 asking price. The new listing for 4301 Manson Avenue credits Johnston Vidal Projects with restoring the 1959 residence. Building permits verify Charles Du Bois as the home’s architect.

From restoration project to restored home

The earlier listing presented Manson Avenue as a fixer with vintage finishes and a pool yard awaiting attention. It first appeared at $1,598,000 in May 2025 before selling that September. Today's asking price is $860,000 above the recorded sale; that difference does not account for renovation expenses or other ownership and selling costs.

The new description emphasizes exposed wood ceilings and restored original details, alongside hardwood floors, custom doors and sliders. The kitchen now features custom cabinetry and soapstone counters, while the primary bathroom includes Heath tile and a freestanding tub. Outside, the listing describes preserved mature trees, new landscaping, a lawn and a pool with mountain and valley views.

The current listing reports three bathrooms and 2,135 square feet, compared with two bathrooms and 2,084 square feet in the earlier record. Those are the respective listing figures; they do not by themselves establish the scope or permitted status of any additions.

A connection to Bachelor in Paradise

The listing also says the residence was featured in the 1961 film Bachelor in Paradise. That connection adds a possible screen-history angle to the house, but remains a claim from the marketing description pending independent confirmation.
