A gated hillside residence once owned by Adrian Paul, best known as Duncan MacLeod on Highlander: The Series, has returned to the market in Sherman Oaks. Located at 15059 Rayneta Drive, the South-of-the-Boulevard home is currently offered at $2.3 million.
A Former Home of Adrian Paul
Property records and earlier marketing reports indicate that Paul acquired the residence in 2002 for $779,000. He later placed it on the market in 2014, when it was promoted as the Sherman Oaks home of the Highlander star, and sold it that year for $1,312,500. The property was also featured by the San Fernando Valley Blog in a June 2014 celebrity real-estate roundup while Paul still owned the home. The property subsequently changed hands again in June 2018 for $1,569,000.
The ownership period overlapped with years in which Paul continued acting, producing and directing after his six-season run as Duncan MacLeod. His Highlander connection also continued on film through Highlander: Endgame and Highlander: The Source.
Panoramic Views and Flexible Living Space
Positioned behind a private gate, the tri-level residence was designed to take advantage of broad Valley and city-light views. The current listing highlights soaring ceilings, an open floor plan and several balconies, including a large entertainer's deck connected to the main living and dining areas.
The kitchen includes granite counters, a breakfast bar, Viking appliances and dual wine refrigerators. The primary suite offers a spa-style bathroom, an oversized walk-in closet and a private patio. A separate lower level contains a bedroom, full bathroom, kitchenette, living area and its own entrance, allowing it to function as guest quarters, a home office, studio or potential rental space.
Other listing features include a wood-burning fireplace, a flat grassy yard, an engineered retaining wall, a newer dual-zone HVAC system, a newer roof, tankless water heater, smart-home controls and an attached three-car garage.
The Rayneta Drive property combines the privacy of a hillside retreat with convenient access to Ventura Boulevard, the 101 and 405 freeways, and the restaurants, shops and services of Sherman Oaks. Its celebrity history adds another layer to a residence already distinguished by its views, substantial living space and adaptable lower-level suite.
