Celeb R.E.: Catching Up on SFV Celeb R.E.
It must be real estate season because there has been a barrage of celeb R.E. transactions in the SFV. I havent been able to post fast enough so below is a highly summarized list of the latest gossip.

This has been on my to do list for the longest time and somehow it kept on slipping. So I am now able to finally blog about X-Men's Iceman, Shawn Ashmore's sale of a Valley Village home and the purchase of a Studio City home. The fine folks at Trulia Luxe Living broke the news way back on December 5, 2013. Starting off with the Valley Village home (shown above) Ashmore sold a 2 Bed/1.5 Bath ranch home on 1,282 sqft on a total lot size of 8,398 sqft built in 1937. This home was purchased on August 17, 2009 for $593,000 and sold on August 21, 2013 for $653,500.

The Studio City home (shown above) measures 3 Beds/2.5 Baths on 1,681 sqft on a total lot size of 7,005 sqft built in 1950. This home was purchased on November 13, 2013 for $995,000.

Zillow first revealed on April 23, 2014 that reality star, Nicole Richie, and husband, Joel Madden, of the pop punk band Good Charlotte have listed their Spanish Glendale home (shown above) for $1,875,000. The home measures 4 Beds/4 Baths on 4,718 sqft on a total lot size of 0.38 acres built in 1930. The Glendale home was actually purchased by Madden for $1.8 million on November 16, 2004 so the young couple will probably face a loss after expenses. At the time of this writing, the home is in a pending status. Richie and Madden currently live in a Laurel Canyon home that was purchased in June 2009 from ex-NFLer, Mike Croel, as discussed on the Realestalker.

The always informative, Lauren Beale, at LAT Hot Property discussed the Encino sale (shown above) of Grammy-nominated R&B and soul singer, Eric Benet who was once married to Halle Berry, along with his wife Manuela Testolini who was once married to Prince. The Encino home measures 5 Beds/4.5 Baths on 4,385 sqft on a total lot size of 0.40 acres built in 1956. Benet purchased this home on August 9, 2010 for $1,605,000 and I guess something came up as he decided to sell for a decent $300K profit with only living in the home for 4 years.
