Celebrity Real Estate: Jesse Alexander Lists Sherman Oaks Pad

[Update April 19, 2012]: This home sold on April 18, 2012 for $1,725,000 which was on the market for roughly 5 months and sold for $375,000 less than original listing price of $2.1 million.

[Original Post]:

Back on October 26, 2011, the always hilarious, Your Mama, at the Realestalker discussed the listing of television writer/producer Jesse Alexander in Sherman Oaks for $2,100,000.  Mr. Alexander is known for working on the hit shows Lost, Alias, and Heroes as a staff writer or executive producer having won two Emmy's for Lost

According to the listing this 5 Bed/5 Bath, 4,399 sqft home on 0.43 acres built in 1964 states:
Inviting Cape Cod Estate that feels like a Hampton's beach house. Set back from the street on a large gated lot with spacious guest house with a private entry that could also be a great home office or studio! Done with style, personality and offers a casual living space to relax or entertain. Media room with surround sound, designer kitchen with breakfast area opens to the family room with high wood beam ceilings. Formal dining room for large dinner parties, hardwood floors, custom built-in bookcases. Outdoor space includes a lagoon style pool and spa with waterfall, lounging patios and cabana area. There is also a large grass play yard, gardens and covered patios. Central location close to shopping, restaurants and The Buckley School. House featured in Better Homes and Gardens Magazine May 2004 edition. No sigh on property.
According to the property records, Mr. Alexander purchased the property back in August 29, 2002 for $1,125,000. The same property records show a sales transaction on May 11, 2005 for $683,000 which would indicate that Mr. Alexander sold the property at a loss but that doesnt make any sense since he is now selling it so maybe this was a error/typo in the property records so just reporting what I see.

We wish luck to Mr. Alexander has the Sherman Oaks area has been home to other celebrities trying to offload their properties including Former Marlon Brando, Randall Zisk & Brook Langton, Wayne Brady, John Larroquette, Pink, and not to mention the many other celebrities living in the SFV
