Celeb R.E.: Dr. Dre Building Mega Mansion in Hidden Hills?

Back on August 20, 2013, the always hilarious Your Mama at the Realestalker was the first to reveal that rapper, producer, and headphone entrepreneur, Dr. Dre, purchased two parcels totaling more than 5 acres in Hidden Hills for $10.5 million in October 2012 shortly after he had already purchased a $15.4 million Hollywood Hills home in the Birds street area. The fact that Dr. Dre shelled out close to $30 million on two different properties in a short period of time suggests that 2012 was an exceptional year for Dr. Dre (Forbes reported that Dr. Dre earned $110 million in 2012 alone through his various endeavors) and needed to spend the gains to minimize tax liability.

I have not been able to find other details regarding this transaction nor the exact address but I believe I found the vacant lots shown in the picture above which is next door to the mansion recently purchased by Jessica Simpson that was previously occupied by the Osbournes.

Dr. Dre has been residing in the West Valley since the early 90's as he currently owns a home in Woodland Hills (directly across from Scott Baio's home). I will follow up with another post on the various homes Dr. Dre has owned in the SFV which includes a mansion in Chatsworth and I believe Calabasas. Dr. Dre was also recording hits at Death Row which was based in Tarzana.
