Random Weekend Tidbits

Friday, August 26, 2011 / No Comments
Its been a rather cool summer so it makes sense that the weather gods make sure we dont forget what its like to live in the San Fernando Valley. What is even more odd is that some public schools have already started which typically start after Labor Day so I am sure they are enjoying being stuck in the classroom instead of at a beach or pool.

There will be a Van Nuys Centenial Celebration Taste of Van Nuys at the Civic Center on August 27 from 4 - 8 PM.

Here are some random stuff to view on the internet if you are hanging out at home with the A/C on or off

  • New LAPD blog focusing on 91401 zip code which is Sherman Oaks.
  • Valley Daze: Back to School comic strip at iamsanfernando blog.
  • The last commercial Orange Grove in the San Fernando Valley, Bothwell Ranch in Woodland Hills by the Militant Angeleno.
  • Three random 70's pics of Van Nuys at Van Nuys Boomers.
  • My favorite one and possibly the more shocking one is The (Granada) Hills: The Series TV show at Giga Granada Hills. I dont know if this is a joke or real.
  • Stay cool!!
