The SFVBJ reported that the Van Nuys Neighborhood Coucil's Planning and Land Use Committee has given the green light for a major residential development at a vacant land site at 14700 Sherman Way near Van Nuys Blvd.

The proposal consists of 58 single-family homes priced from the mid-$400,000s to the mid-$500,000s at a deal valued around $29 million.

The property measures 149,396 sqft (3.4 acres) spread over 4 parcels. The property was last purchased by the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel on September 30, 2008 for $2,490,024 from the Kings College and Seminary school which is located next door at 14800. The Foursquare church is located down the street across Van Nuys Blvd which originally intended to expand onto the larger property.

Historically, this land appeared to be a small ranch up until the 90s/2000s but hard to tell any specifics from the satellite photos. All images below from favorite website historicaerials.com.
