The always hilarious Your Mama at the Real Estalker/Variety first broke the news on July 7, 2014 of comedian Bryan Callen's purchase of a Calabasas home on May 6, 2014 for $1,307,000.
Bryan Callen may not be a household name but he got his big break in comedy joining MADtv in 1995 as one of the original 8 cast members. After MADtv, Callen has played various role on TV shows and films including Entourage, truTV Presents: World's Dumbest...., The Hangover Part I and II, and Bad Santa to name a few.
The home measures 4 Beds/3 Baths on 2,754sqft on 0.26 acres built in 1987. The listing description states:

Prior to the Calabasas acquisition, Callen was living in a Venice home measuring 3 Beds/3 Baths on 2,320 sqft on a total lot size of 4,680 sqft built in 1921. THe home was acquired October 16, 2009 for $1,400,000 and sold for a small loss on June 28, 2012 for $1,330,000. Not sure why Callen chose to leave the beach life for the "boring" suburban life but always welcome to have another awesome celebrity move into the SFV!
And as a bonus, prior to the Venice home Callen was living in Echo Park near the 2 Freeway from 2007 - 2009. And prior to the Echo Park home, Callen was living in another similar Venice home from 2000 - 2007.
