Back on June 30, 2014, TMZ broke the news that Jack Osbourne purchased a newly built Studio City home for $3.2 million on June 13, 2014. Osbourne is best known for being the son of music legend Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne. Jack grew to fame in 2002 after appearing in the MTV reality show, The Osbournes. Since then he has appeared in a number of films and TV shows as well as producing a documentary about his father. 

The home measures 5 Bed/6.25 Baths on 5,614 sqft on a total lot size of 0.27 acres built in 2014. The listing description states:

This isnt the first time Jack Osbourne lived in the SFV as he may have lived in his parent's Hidden Hills home that was sold to Jessica Simpson on March 12, 2013 for $11.5 million which was discussed here. 

This home was previously sold on August 30, 2013 for $975,000 where the buyer demolished the mostly original 1955 home to build a McMansion with the latest features. You can catch a glimpse of that original home below. My guess is that the homebuilder profited close to $1 million on this sale.

According to US Weekly magazine, Jessica Simpson and retired NFL star Eric Johnson have purchased the Hidden Hills home that was previously owned by Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne for 11,500,000 on March 12, 2013 which is $888,500 less than the original purchase price of $12,388,500 back on August 3, 2007 by the Osbournes.  

The Osbourne's originally listed the home for $12,999,000 back on June 30, 2011 which translated into a massive $1,499,000 reduction to the sold price. This home sold in over two years time which at one point included a lease option. To further confirm said purchase, the name listed on the property records is Jessica Simpson's business manager, David Levin. Additionally, this home is already being remodeled by Simpson who is converting the walk-in closet into a nursery for Simpson's second child. Also, there is rumor that the home may be the location of her wedding to retired NFL star Eric Johnson.

Jessica Simpson and the Simpson family are no strangers to the SFV as the list shows below:

1. Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey when they were married lived at 24944 Lorena Drive in Calabasas from 2002 to 2006 which was sold to Justin Berfield. This home was the location for their reality show, Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica. On a separate note, the reality show was originally intended for Michael Jackson and Lisa Marie Presley who both had spent time in the Valley (Wikipedia). 
2. Ashlee Simpson lived at 16187 Royal Oak Road in Encino which overlooks her parents home. She lived here from 2005 to 2006 selling the home for a $1 million gain back in the bubble days. 
3. Ashlee Simpson married rocker Pete Wentz in Ashlee's parents Encino home in 2008.
4. Nick Lachey's brother, Drew lived at 201314 Ruston Road in Woodland Hills from 2005 to 2009. 
5. Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo purchased in Encino on August 11, 2011 shortly after their marriage. 
6. Pete Wentz who divorced Ashlee Simpson in 2011 purchased a Studio City home on April 13, 2012.
7. Joe and Tina Simpson who are in the process of getting divorced have listed their Encino home for $4,395,000 on October 2, 2012.

[Update October 22, 2012]: I am extremely late on reporting this but back on August 9, 2012, the Osbournes listed their Hidden Hills home for rent at $50,000 per month in addition to listing it for sale for $12,999,000 which has languished on the market since June 2011. Talk about patience!

The Osbournes purchased this property in August 2007 for $12,388,500 and now have listed for $12,999,000. Depending on this difficult market they may have to sell at a lower price and could possibly take a loss when factoring in commissions, fees, and taxes. The property records are listed under trust.

The Hidden Hills enclave is home to numerous celebrities including the Kardashians/Jenner clan, Howie Mandel, Beau Bridges, new resident Britney Spears, Jennifer Lopez & Marc Anthony.
