The Valley street that can play “Anywhere USA”
Cameron Woods occupies the stretch of Orion Avenue between Victory Boulevard and Erwin Street. Developed on a former walnut grove in the late 1940s and early 1950s, the neighborhood has a collection of ranch houses and Cape Cods whose appearance can suggest a setting far beyond Los Angeles. That versatility, along with practical access for crews, helps explain its long relationship with location filming, as TheWrap documented in its 2023 neighborhood profile.
The same report identifies neighborhood filming credits including La Bamba, Dynasty, CHiPs and the third season of You. These are credits for Cameron Woods; the sources reviewed do not establish which productions, if any, filmed at 6317 Orion itself.
A contemporary interior behind the traditional facade
The current listing describes a comprehensive renovation, including new flooring and roofing, double-pane windows, paid-off solar and a Tesla charger. The kitchen combines a quartz island with Sub-Zero refrigeration, a Viking range and a walk-in pantry. French doors connect the primary bedroom to the yard, while its bathroom has a soaking tub and separate shower.
Outside, a pool, firepit and lawn give the property several places to gather. The listing also promotes room for a future ADU, a possibility rather than an existing approved unit.
A lower ask after the renovation
Redfin’s sale history records a $1.51 million purchase in December 2025. The current MLS offering began May 15 at $2.495 million, followed by reductions to $2.395 million in June, $2.349 million on August 5 and $2.299 million on August 20. That puts the ask $196,000 below its May starting point.
The current listing’s five-bedroom, four-bath layout differs from Redfin’s public-record summary of three bedrooms and three baths; the permitted configuration has not been independently verified.
Living on a location street
For a buyer drawn to the neighborhood’s screen history, the appeal extends beyond spotting a familiar house in a movie. Filming can involve an entire block: a production may rent one home for a scene and use neighboring driveways or yards for support.
In its reporting on residential filming, TheWrap described Cameron Woods’ neighborhood association coordinating activity and residents receiving payments for both locations and nearby production support. It also documented how changing production demand affects that income. A recognizable street offers possibilities, but past shoots do not guarantee future bookings.
At 6317 Orion, the story is the meeting of two familiar Valley interests: a house updated for present-day living and a neighborhood that has spent decades helping Hollywood imagine somewhere else.
