A renovated mid-century residence designed by Palmer & Krisel has returned to the market in Woodland Hills’ architecturally significant Corbin Palms neighborhood.
Located at 19748 Victory Boulevard, the four-bedroom residence was listed on July 27, 2026, for $995,000. The property combines recognizable Palmer & Krisel design elements with an extensive contemporary renovation, a private swimming pool and an outdoor entertaining area.
Palmer & Krisel’s Woodland Hills modernism
The house was constructed as part of Corbin Palms, the influential postwar subdivision designed by architects Dan Palmer and William Krisel in collaboration with the Alexander Construction Company.
Although Palmer & Krisel would later become closely associated with the desert modernism of Palm Springs, Corbin Palms represents an important early chapter in the partnership. The Los Angeles Conservancy identifies the neighborhood as a tract of 287 modern homes designed by the firm in the mid-1950s.
The architects used standardized plans and construction methods while introducing architectural details more commonly associated with custom modern houses. The result brought post-and-beam construction, expansive glazing and indoor-outdoor living within reach of a broader group of Southern California homebuyers.

Period sales literature promoted Corbin Palms as a modern community offering multiple four-bedroom floor plans. The brochure’s palm-tree graphics, contrasting typography and stylized presentation reflected the optimism surrounding Southern California’s postwar housing boom.

Original ideas paired with a contemporary renovation
The listing highlights several surviving Palmer & Krisel design features, including vaulted wood ceilings, exposed post-and-beam construction, clerestory glazing and an open relationship between the interior and backyard.
Polished concrete flooring now extends through much of the house. The renovated kitchen features custom white-oak cabinetry, quartz countertops, stainless-steel appliances, a center island and a breakfast counter.
The property also includes central heating and air conditioning, in-unit laundry and solar panels. The current listing states that the house is being offered as-is.
A larger Corbin Palms residence
At a reported 1,980 square feet, the present house is larger than many of the original Corbin Palms floor plans, which commonly ranged from approximately 1,000 to 1,400 square feet.
Redfin’s archived description from the property’s 2020 sale advised prospective buyers to verify the square footage and permit history. The 1,980-square-foot figure should therefore be understood as the property’s current marketed and public-record total rather than a representation of its original 1954 floor plan.
A pool and outdoor entertaining spaces
The backyard continues the house’s emphasis on indoor-outdoor living. Glass doors open toward a private swimming pool, dining terrace, mature landscaping and several outdoor gathering areas.
An outdoor kitchen is equipped with a built-in grill, refrigerator and sink. A detached two-car garage is accessed from the alley behind the property.
From $750,000 to a $995,000 asking price
The property last changed hands on August 28, 2020, for $750,000, after being listed the previous month for $720,000.
The current $995,000 asking price is $245,000, or approximately 32.7 percent, above the 2020 sale price. Based on the advertised 1,980 square feet, the asking price works out to approximately $503 per square foot.
