A reported former home of attorney and Kardashian family patriarch Robert Kardashian is on the market in Encino, pairing a brush with pop-culture history with the low-slung ease of a classic California ranch house.

The gated residence at 18056 Lake Encino Drive is asking $2.199 million after a $50,000 price reduction. Set on a private corner knoll in the Lake Encino neighborhood, the single-story home has five bedrooms, three-and-a-half bathrooms and 3,150 square feet of living space.

A warm, private retreat in the Encino Hills

Built in 1964 on roughly 0.29 acre, the home sits behind gates and opens to an intimate courtyard. French doors and windows bring in natural light, while rich wood floors and a fireplace give the living spaces a warm, traditional character. The floor plan includes formal living and dining rooms, a family room and a media room.

The kitchen is designed for serious cooking, with granite counters, Viking appliances, a six-burner range, double ovens, a pantry, bar seating and a casual breakfast area.

This home should not be confused with the Kardashian residence at 16254 Mandalay Drive, the separate Encino property discussed in contemporaneous Los Angeles Times coverage of the O.J. Simpson case.

Robert Kardashian became nationally known as a friend and defense attorney for O.J. Simpson and later as the father of Kourtney, Kim, Khloé and Rob Kardashian. He died in 2003.

The property was listed on June 10, 2026, at $2.249 million and reduced to $2.199 million on July 23. Redfin shows a prior sale in April 2012 for $1.05 million and a rental offering in March 2024 at $8,995 per month.
