The always informative folks at LAT Hot Property revealed on December 19, 2014 that LA Clippers superstar, Chris Paul, has just purchased a Woodland Hills home for $1.775 million on December 12, 2014.

The home measures 5 Beds/4.75 Baths on 6,413 sqft on a total lot size of 0.61 acres built in 2014. The previous home was built in 1949 with 3 Beds/4 Baths on 3,650 sqft on a total lot size of 1.1 acres that included the next parcel which was subdivided and built with a newer smaller home. This site has apparently been under construction since maybe at least 2007 based on Google Street View images below. The listing description of the new home states:
New construction in College Acres! Over 26,000 square foot lot. Built in 2014 with over 6400 square feet, this stunning gated Mediterranean estate boasts 5 bedrooms (all en-suite) and 5.5 bathrooms. Grand entrance with dramatic wrought iron staircase and elegant chandelier. Sprawling living room flows into the formal dining room, wine room and separate bar. Amazing kitchen with stainless steel Viking free standing range, 8 burner cooktop, pot filler, double oven + separate oven, custom cabinets, center island & built in breakfast area opens to a spacious family room and separate den/study. One bedroom/bathroom conveniently located downstairs. 2 staircases lead to the bedrooms and large open upstairs family/bonus room. Sumptuous Master suite is highlighted by the home's 3rd fireplace, elegant bath, spa tub and oversized walk in closet plus a private balcony overlooking the amazing yard. Beautifully landscaped with pool, N/S Tennis Court and outdoor kitchen - ideal for entertaining. Quality and designer details throughout.
This transaction seems suspect as Chris Paul just purchased a Bel Air mansion for $8.5 million in January 2012 from Avril Lavigne and he is in the second year of a five-year $107 million contract. So why would Paul purchase this relatively modest home in a quiet area of Woodland Hills known as College Acres which is popular for its Candy Cane Lane Christmas decorations and just happens to be directly across from the famed Richie Gaona Flying Trapeze school? The only possible explanation that  I can surmise is that this is really not for Chris Paul but a relative or even possibly an investment property.

Nonetheless, its awesome to have a legend in the making with a formal connection to the SFV.
