Stiles was born in Seattle, Washington and later moved to Vancouver where he started his comedy career at the age of 17 dropping out of high school. He eventually landed a spot on the original British version of Whose Line Is It Anyway? then later was on the American version of Whose Line Is It Anyway. He also played a role on The Drew Carey Show and Two and Half Men.
The home measures 5 Beds/5.75 Baths on 7,361 qft on a total lot size of 0.86 acres. According to the listing description, the home was designed by renowned architect Robert Byrd who who also designed the Benedict Canyon home where Sharon Tate was murdered of the Charles Manson gang, the Robert Taylor Ranch in Mandeville Canyon, and The Rock'N'Roll house of Frank Zappa in Laurel Canyon known as The Tree House. The listing description states:
Outstanding Robert Byrd masterpiece located in Encino, south of the Boulevard on a quiet tree lined street in Rancho Estates. 2 story showplace on under a flat acre. Private, gated perfect for entertaining, perfect for celebrities, perfect for artists. Large open spaces. This home was previously owned by Academy Award-winning makeup and special effects artist Stan Winston, who expanded the house adding a screening room. The house was first listed back on February 27, 2010 (as reported by the LA Times) for $3.9 million, then dropped to $3.499 million on July 2, 2011, and finally listed at $3.1 million on March 24, 2013. The home was originally purchased for $3.45 million on October 2, 2003. So, Stiles reduced the sales price $800,000 from the original listed price back in 2010 at $3.9 million and even worse took a $350,000 hit based on the original purchase price of $350,000 not factoring in taxes, commissions, renovation expenses, and carrying costs.
