Abe's Deli at 19626 Nordhoff St. closed down  a couple of months ago much to my surprise. So when I read this hearing notice for the request to sell a full line of alcoholic beverages, I simply thought it was Abe's Deli which did seem odd to me at the moment. Can I get a whiskey instead of the pickle on my pastrami sandwhich? (sarcasm)

But after reading the fine print and doing some research, Abe's is out and the Titled Kilt Pub & Eatery is in which will have scantily clad women baring it all to sell food and alcohol similar to a Hooters. To be honest, I never heard of this restaurant which started in Vegas and now has franchises across America. In Southern California, a Tilted Kilt Pub already exists in Thousand Oaks, Valencia, Victorville, Rancho Cucamongo, Chino, Orange, Temecula, Palm Desert, San Diego (2) and Long Beach.

The one interesting aspect of this new opening is that at the nearby Northridge mall recently saw a Buffalo's Wild Wings and Yardhouse open while the Elephant Bar closed. So it just begs the question, how many sports bars are needed in this area?

Just imagine if Titled Kilt didnt get approval to sell a full line of alcoholic beverages? Not that the Council would ever say no.
